If you’re planning a photoshoot, you don’t fight the weather - you outplay it. Here’s what most people overlook (and shouldn’t): - Choose locations with built-in shelter (arcades, greenhouses, cafés with large windows) → not just Plan B, but a visual upgrade - Check wind, not just rain → in Denmark, wind will ruin a shoot faster than rain - Go for early morning or late evening → softer light, calmer air - Wear outfits that move well in wind (and don’t wrinkle instantly) - Avoid exposed waterfront spots unless you have a backup → weather shifts twice as fast there - Break the shoot into short bursts (20–30 min blocks) instead of one long session - Use clouds as a tool, not a problem → they add depth and drama - And most importantly: your photographer should read the weather, not just check the forecast Plan B isn’t optional - it’s part of the plan.
